As for the sins you may have seen declared in the Bible, the only definite ones are the ten commandments. Much of the "Biblical law" that anti-Christians like to bring up (since some of the laws are pretty crazy) are actually in there as a written history of local laws from the period.Comment

As was said god has never declared it a sin, only some of the contributors did. If you want to base the whole Christian belief as following the bible to the letter then not only does it contradict itself hugely in many places, but those following it would spend a very long time in jail for doing so - especially the nice little bits that tell you to kill certain 'sinners'.
For the little it's worth there are openly gay vicars (ministers) in the UK.
Oh...and I gotta add that I'm a total atheist myself but happy to respect others beliefs providing they don't interfere with my life.
