Todays webmasters are so dumb. Ya do not use a main site for SEO anymore you dumb twats.
But aside form all that, I got plenty of clients that always work with me when I got the time been doing business with them for years. The last thing i need is random SEO client inquiries LOL! So tell me again why I want to SEO my site?
Yup, I too take a whole shitload of supplement plus the ass-fingering and some kinds of laser and thermo therapy. And it works - got my dick working again in 3 days, so i'm gonna finish it. Plus looks like the doc knows his shit.
yeah i heard it was a good tool - even if you dont have any poblems, regular prostate massage helps to avoid all kinds of shit in the future.
You can go to school to learn how to use all of the programs, script, etc.. you need to know to be a web designer.
And while you are at school you build a portfolio..
Is it easy? is what easy? to get a job? to get clients?
Nothing is easy some things are more difficult for other people..
But it's definately not the hardest field to get into if you want to compare it to becoming a electrician or a cop or a fireman yah it's fuckin easy...
Not many good jobs tho... Getting that cool high paying job that designers all want is the hard part...

the difference is most of the so called "designers" on gfy begging for work are usually guys who spent about 10 hours on PS and read a couple of tutorials and think they can make a career out of it....the good designers dont ask for work...they are usually booked up months in advance.

Well no thats a generalization...
I don't think a lot of them are posers or fake... Sure some of them might be newbs... But so what?
My problem is with the designers who actually SUCK but they act like they are amazing or people tell them they are good when they really aren't...
I don't care if a newb is begging for work..
That's how you get experience and build a portfolio to prove you can do work..

no idea about your skills but as far as gfy goes, based on the samples Ive seen posted its nothing impressive.
And just cause someone knows how to turn on PS doesnt make them a designer....just cause I can write 4 lines of code doesnt make me a programmer.
Of course maybe the Adult Design industry is different...Ive worked with designers who work in the non adult biz and some of the things they churn out is jaw dropping...Ive very rarely seen anything that made me say "wow" in Adult...atleast not recently

GFY has a few very good designers/scripters.

Well I agree and disagree...
Doing design is a on a whole other fucking level than being a programmer.
No designer even wants to be called a designer.. It's a term that is just tossed around... Dunno what the fuck you expect me to say about that...
I mean anyone can open up photoshop and design a poster they don't have to be a designer...
I think a person becomes a "designer" the moment they are doing it FOR someone for exchange of money or service....

Well duh obviously you are going to see more talent in mainstream. Why would anyone want to work in Adult? Nobody does thats why most adult companies get stuck hiring horrible designers.
I've seen a lot of good work by designers working in Adult.
Obviously I've also seen a lot of crap.

you dont see dickmans, wyldesites, madsights, or any of the top companies ever posting for work, people goto them.
Dickmans is on a whole other level.
It depends how the designer does business and if that designer is a firm or not.
and how long that designer has been doing work.
If the designer is a newb they are going to need to ask for work or promote themselves.
What if I wanted to make $2500 in one week on top of what I normally make?
So I did a promo thread offering $2 banners because I know I will get that many more people buying banners because of the lower price??
Stop generalizing. I think everyone just needs to stfu.
If you're a good designer, you have clients lined up for several weeks ahead. I know from first hand experience, because I often have to wait before my fav designer starts working on my project.
Only shitty designers do "special promos". They do it because they don't have any clients and need to attract them somehow.
Good designers don''t need to lowball themselves. If anything their prices only rise up.

I see a lot of horrible designers who are busy. Good and Bad is subjective...
I really don't see the blantant spamming of promo threads.
I saw a bunch of $5 banner threads that I flamed... But its really not that many...
Obviously you aren't going to see a firm like Dickmans or Kreadult posting up $5 banners heh...
I'm a good designer I refuse to do work for anyone but myself or a full time job... But some times I'm going to need extra cash..

thats how I see it, be it correct or not....I use a mainstream design firm for my offline businesses and I have to book them 2-3 months in advance....so i know for a fact they dont have time to do $5 banner promos every week...so it makes me think differently when someone claims to have big clients lined up yet doing $10 banner threads week in week out.
I know for a newb you have to start somewhere, and thats pretty much true in any career...but when I see guys who have been in the biz for 4,5 and even 10 years asking for work continuosly i dont have much faith in their skills...of course maybe their skills are good but they dont have much business sense.

mostly true...
some great - busy - designers still run specials...
zuzanna for one, i see specials from her all the time but we all know shes pumping them out left n right... her portfolio speaks for itself.
I dont think ive ran a special... for... at least a year...
Dont need to...
I do a shit load more than design though, so...
Crazy, i had no clue you were such a pimp DJ... some nice stats
I do specials every month 1st two clients who orders are made ahead of time for the month get a pretty good discount. It's just to secure work ahead of time so I keep busy and the clients so far seem to love this concept.

Deej a good designer? No.
Does he call himself a designer? Yes.
Is he busy? Yes.
I can do the same for Zuzana..
It's all subjective.. Bad designers as long as they get the work done when needed stay busy...
Ahh but that's BS.. Lookit all of the designers begging for work like AlienQ who have been here and using photoshop for 10 years...
Im hurt...
Actually I prefer to call myself a general webmaster that is capable of good amateur designs... Ive said that for years...
I do far beyond just designing sites. I do nearly anything a program needs besides programming. I work with it but i cant write it. Video and photo editing... script troubleshooting.. Affiliate help... tons of shit... not to mention my own shit... I need 3 midgets to help me maintain this ship...
I can pull off some nice designs lately... a ton of which no one have seen yet... my skills are growing... in all directions...
but... im not here to defend myself... I dont need to... I know your game
if you're a designer... just because YOU may think another designer sucks doesn't mean shit...
if someone is willing to pay them for their work, they must be doing something right, so why not just shut the fuck up and worry about your own shit?

praise jesus... I give compliments to all the disigners around here on their good shit, no sense in bashing each other...
shit when headless came back from his desk job and was peddling banners, I complimented that shit and tossed out some pointers to improve on some things.. just basic fundamentals of PS and shit... he took it as bashing...
Some designers are far too touchy and blindly serious...
This is my keyboard... it is mighty@!!!
I get inspiration from tons of designers around here... no need to bash a colleague...
Live and learn, whatever... looking to get out of the "design" scene in the near future anyway...
im sure the next category will bring on the same bickering between peers, though...

I've had pretty good luck with the designers I've used. I haven't really had a bad experience with a designer yet.
The only real issue I have with designers and it's mostly general in nature is fixed designs that don't allow you to increase font size or type more text with the design breaking. A lot of designs only give a certain amount of space for the dynamic text parts and if you go beyond that there are gaps that shouldn't be there. It's been a common problem with pretty much every designer I've gone with.
