    How to start with no money in this biz?

    A friend of mine hates her job and would love to start working from home, so I suggested she might try and dabble in adult.

    The problem is, she's broke as fuck, has very little experience with websites and doesn't seem to want to get naked for money. I tried to lend (give) her some money to get started, but she won't take it.

    So, anyone got some ideas on how she could get started? I thought about a few simple blogs, but her English is pretty bad (it looks like Dutch translated to English through Babelfish). Galleries might be an idea, but I doubt she even has enough money to pay for hosting right now.

    She's a hard worker, though.

    Any ideas?

                                  who says she has to pay for hosting? Most sponsors give free hosting. The only out of pocket money would be the domain name.

                                              That could be an idea. I'm not a gallery submitter myself, though, so I'd have to trick her into believing I "already had" the submitting software, and maybe get her her own dedicated server without her knowing about it. It could work, though.

                                              Still, I'd prefer it if I could just help her with something she could really be "independent" with. That seems to be what she wants most.

                                                                  I look forward to the "buy 1000 domains and buy content and hosting and traffic and then hire a designer and start building sites" comments.

                                                                  Those always amuse me when someone asks how to make some $ without starting with $.


                                                                  Just tell her to keep her job, or get a different one.. part time possibly. Something to suppliment her start and what ever money she makes from galleries/freesites/blogs, put it back into building this up. She can start with freehosting, start with small stuff. Make $20 one month on a signup or something, put that back in, do more.. make $40... put that back in, start to grow with some better hosting or domains... and make $80.... and keep growing.

                                                                  It's not a get rich scheme, it won't always work out that way... but eventually, one income can grow to over take the other income.

I'll do the design and coding, get her hosting and give her some initial traffic, and all she'll have to do is put up links, review sites and manage linktrades. She won't make much in the beginning, but in the long term, it should make her a decent buck. Enough to build on, anyway.

                                                                                          Teach her how to be a sig whore. That will raise some money.

                                                                                          Then click on my webmaster links and sign up for some affil programs... buy some content... make some galleries... submit to TGPs.

                                                                                          Rinse, wash, repreat.

                                                                                              Or, if nothing else set her up with a sponsor who offers free hosting. Pretty safe way to not lose any money IMO.
