Colin's making an excellent point here, let me explain it out a little better based on ROI. Let's assume $2.50 a GB which if you're buying in bulk will be cheaper.

Last 3 days regular TGP (mainly The Hun): 24 Gb 115.15 income $115.15-$60= $55.15

Last 3 days TGP2: Almost 2 Gb, 62 income $62-$5 = $57.00

Last 3 days linklists(Tommy, GG, richards realm): 12 Gb 75 income $75.00-$30.00 = $45.00

So clearly the most profitable solution here is TGP2.

Yeah but -- I don't mean to be obvious -- the total take home for 3 days is about $150. Who would bother making galleries etc. for that? The lesson seems to be to go into some other business??? Just a simple observation.

There's a couple lessons actually....

Don't take advice from someone who only makes $150 for 3 days worth of traffic....

and second... TGP2 "appears" to be the most profitable by these #'s but NOT by MUCH and if you really want to make a lot of money you will need about 100 times more TGP2's to open and for all of them to get 100x the traffic they are getting now.

Bottom line -------------------
Make money every way possible, not just the easiest way.

I dont think you know about Colin very well.
He knows how to make money and has been doing it for a very long time. ANd it would be in any newbies or non-newbie to take whatever advice they can from him ;-)

Ofcourse TGP2 will burn less bandwidth, that isn't even in question.

I think you we would see more beneficial information if people posted Uniques/Bandwidth/Net Income.

With that information we could make a better comparison/evalutation.

I know exactly who Colin is and I know what he's good at. I also know he has a partial view of TGP2 because of his involvement.

I'll be the first to admit that Colin is great at TGP's and getting traffic to them but if the #'s he posted about his galleries are accurate then he isn't that great at making money with galleries. He's better than most but the #'s he posted don't really prove a damn thing. That was my point.

I KNOW those numbers are not Colins', because they were posted on the 'other' board by somebody else. So, he is is just letting you guys know that the numbers are pretty impressive!
Sales are not yet, obviously.

It is just a good way to let people know it has potential. Of course, we are also biased, because we run TGP2s and the Counter/Stats, but the numbers are not lying.

Yes I do have to contribute my findings on this one. So far only 5% of what I earned from TGP2 galleries were hosting costs all the rest (95%) was pure profit.

Those numbers posted by Colin truly reflect the TGP2.

Ok then..lets do math
Hun and other tgps gallery.........$115.00 income, 24 gigs (average $2.50 gig) $60 for bandwidth..$55 leftover..your profit.
Now lets not forget the massive competition to get listed, and the fact you just gave away good quality pics to hundreds of thousands of surfers,further watering them down.

TGP2 gallery.$62 income,2 gigs used (average $2.50 gig) $5.00 for bandwidth.. $57 leftover..your profit.
Now, its easy to get listed,gallerys are simple to make, and cheaper (you dont have to put 15-20 pics on a gallery only 5,And you are not watering down the traffic as bad by providing less free content.

I left out the link list traffic as it is mainly recycled tgp traffic nowadays anyway,and the main discussions these days is tgp's anyway.

Only one i see losing in this equasion is ME the hosting company (phatservers.net) ;-)


Now If you go to mine or naughtys tgp2 counters you will see the traffic is increasing weekly between the tgp2's

With continued support, this is turning into a good income generator,and putting things back how they used to be
