Real estate is crazily expensive, a small ass appartment costs easily 150 - 200k USD.
If you want a real real estate like a condo or a small house it will be like 350 k.
If you'll live in the centre they will be like to charge you about 900 USD / year just so you can park your car in front of the house if you don't have a garage.
Count the gas beeing about 9 bucks / gallon, shoes, accessories and clothing 30 - 50 pct. more expensive than in the States.
Electronics and PC stuff is about twice as expensive as in the States.
Groceries about the same, but steadily growing.
A solid internet connection 80 - 120 bucks / month
a cell phone bill about a 100 bucks a month if you use a cell for business
A dinner in a better restaurant is about 20 - 30 bucks
You can get it for 8 - 10 bucks in local pubs but it won't be exactly a gourman experience.
A beer on tap in average is about 2 bucks
I could buy a house with a pool in the States for the same price as a flat with two rooms here.
I enjoyed spending time in the States a lot, almost everything is cheaper and the average quality of the services uncomparably better, I enjoyed spending time in the States a lot.
I know I sound like a Yankee but it's numbers that make me say that.
