About 8 months ago I moved and unfortunately some of the checks I was receiving got mixed up. Around the same time there was that fiasco with AVNAds/BlackLabelAds/Adbrite/etc.
There was a good amount of time where you couldn't even login to your account.
Finally logged into AdBrite (because I didn't even know if I could still login through AVNAds or BlackLabelAds) and remembered that I had about 1,000$ worth of outstanding checks that had been issued to my old address since it takes them 3 months before they even send you payments.
I wrote them an email, asking for a stop to be put on the checks and to reissue them to my new address, as I have moved and wouldn't have any way of getting them at my old address - and there response?
THEY ARE JUST GOING TO KEEP THE 1,000$.
Here is their official response:
"Hi Brent,
Thanks for writing in.
Unfortunately at this time we only make payments by check via standard mail. We are exploring other payment options however there is no set time line as to when these may be implemented. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We are sorry to inform you that checks that are outstanding after 180 days from the date of issue will be voided and ineligible for re-deposit or reissue. You can find our Check Reissue Policy in our searchable FAQ section "Rules & Policies", or you can visit the following link:

I understand that I could have contacted them after they sorted out their bullshit between AVNAds and BlackLabelAds, but I had other things to take care of as well, and even if it is completely my fault I still think it's ridiculous that they are simply going to keep 1,000$ because I didn't manage to collect the checks they sent me.
The bottom 3 amounts of this screenshot is what they are keeping:
