HELP! firefox dont want to open anymore:(

I just did a google search using "firefox won't open" and got a bunch of results.

Have you tried opening it in Firefox's Safemode? Did you recently install an update / plugin / addon?

If so, you might try going in through it's safemode and uninstalling said item.

Try running 'firefox -ProfileManager' and create a new profile.

ive just reinstall fireox now its working but my nookmark have been delete

let me guess you CTRL+ALT+DEL right. it's happen to me twice with this 2.0 version, i just use both opera and ff all has been fine for the past few days knock on wood.

FF2.0 has been good to me so far (except my tab mix plus doesn't work, but oh well it was just a fancy luxury)

But the older version would not work from time to time and all I had to do was CTRL+ALT+DEL then kill the FF process. Then I could open FF with no problem. It seemed to lock up on mpg playback but only every once in a while.

Its probably an old session which is still open. Go to your taskmanager and delete any old sessions and it will start up again.

I had that happen before. There is some file you have to delete to clear it out then it starts up fine again. I found the solution via google was pretty easy. Typed fire fox won't start or something like that.

When Firefox won't load, 99% of the time it's due to a corrupt profile.
You can save some of the key files, such as your bookmarks.html and start a new profile... load up the old files into the new profile and you'll be good to go.

Can't I just delete it and re-install it again?

I've found it to be a bit tricky to do a clean install of FF. There are files and profiles in LOTS of places on the computer, and the typical add/remove programs won't do it.
Check out this link, it's what Ive used on a couple different computers now to completely, cleanly, uninstall/install.
Export your bookmarks so you can save those, and if you need your saved passwords-export or take screenshots.
