Not an expert but also not luck. I very slowly built up this site and let the traffic come all by itself. No links, no submitting to directories etc. I never even submitted the site to SE's. The only thing i did was using a sitemap software thingy.

I had my sponsor link on the first page of Google (on the 2-3 spot) for search terms "Bangbus "and "Bang Bus" for few weeks, four years ago. It was doing around 3-4SUs a day.
That was my best sponsor link in google I ever had and I had a lot of them, but noone of them were more sucessful then Bang Bus links.

It always made me curious to hear people doing with one link more then 5k a month.
10k? maybe for terms like "milf" its doable, but for some general search term, no way.

I've had terms like that which I held for over a year and then every so often google decides to shake things up. I've had terms bring in 50k UNIQUE visitors a month for just 1 term, get a bunch 10k unique terms on a single site and target things properly and you can really make cash flow.

Make sure you keep fresh links going into the site or else it'll eventually drop.

all i did really is throw in some link placement and ship shape the basics...

nothing really... its more about what your url and site holds...

I did some small LE way back when the site was at version 1.0 but now i dont have any. And im not gonna do any. If you have a good product people will link you anyway. I dont promote it, i dont mention it anywhere. They key is building something up which you cant find anywhere else and make sure the people like it and come back. Google rewards you for that.
