Whether it was the minority or majority of troops who were affected is beside the point. Even one soldier who has to come back to this country and stay in a rat infested dump like that is an utter disgrace to our country. We should be ashamed of ourselves to have treated these young men and women this way.
Just because it's a volunteer military doesn't mean you can treat them like you're playing a game of Call of Duty. They signed up expecting to defend this country against legitimate threats, not some trumped up bullshit. So because they chose to volunteer, their lives suddenly mean less?
You complained about people not showing respect to the President. I say respect should be earned. You don't earn respect by treating people in this country that way. I agree that those people who tried to ruin an event are disrespectful, but I don't put them in the same league as some of our politicians who have disgraced this country.
