I would not say it was the best I have seen, but I will say it was very good despite the critics poor ratings. It becomes painfully clear that the catholic church does not want you knowing much about the truth of its origins. Me and hubby loved it!

Read the book, interesting but awfully written.
Saw the movie and it is much better made than the book is written. I don't know about Hanks as the main character though.
Nothing that will change your life but an entertaining 160 minutes!

It's a good movie. Not the best I've seen, but it's really good.
Critics gave it bad ratings cuz that's just how they are, they like to try to seem important and saying it was good would just be too easy. I never listen to critics anyway, who the fuck is someone to tell me if a movie is good or not, they don't know what I like. They are just a bunch of windbags who like to hear themselves speak...
And, no, I didn't read the book, but my GF did, and she said the movie was good, but they left a lot out from the book, and I told her that's why it's called a Screenplay and not a Book.Comment

Its a poor film, with no suspence, little in the way of twists and turns. With the biggest cop out ending Ive seen for a long time. Anti climax is a word I would use, but that would suggest a climax had been built in the first place.
It started poorly and went downhill fast, to reach a rushed cop out finish. Its a diluted version, of a not very good book, for people who are to stupid or lazy to read.
