There are ways to get your voice out there. It takes the lowest common denominator to heckle someone at an event like that on our Independence day. 70 years ago they would of been taken out and got their asses flogged in the town square.

The day I goto a public event and yell like a fuckin fool in front of the President of the United States regardless of who they are, or what party they were elected THEN you can call me a Hypocrite. I have WAY more tact than that. Maybe you are that low brow to act like that, but I am not. But you fall under "the lowest common denominator" I mentioned before. While I did not agree with the policies of President Clinton, I will respect his title, and would never call him Mr. Clinton. He is President Clinton, and that deserves a minimum of respect.
I met Al Gore, and I addressed him as Vice President. Of course I tipped my Bush 2004 hat I had on at the time to him. But that is far from yelling whining cry baby anti war bs. And as much as I despise him I continued to give him the respect his position deserved.

Some may argue that it is more low brow to send teenagers off to a pointless war to die then to yell a few things out at an event. Or when those kids come back injured, to throw them in a rat infested building that would be condemmed by any major city in this country. Perhaps some would consider patting your FEMA director on the back and telling him he's doing a "heckuva job" while people lay dying in a major city in this country due to complete incompetence.

There is no big secret that someone signing up to be a solider could end up fighting in a war. I thought you were above strawman arguments. Then you throw in about people that were injured in the war being in rat invested buildings. Is that really really the majority of the cases for vets recovering from injuries, or the minority? Spoken like someone who has never laced them up. Ive been to more than 10 army posts, mostly rapid deployment units and lived in wwII barracks at most of them. I also have seen the state of the equipment we used in Panama and Bosnia. Its not very good if you really want to know the truth. Thats not even comparing to what my friends are going through over in Iraq. How the fuck would you know about half truths? Its obvious that you have never been a part of any military movement. Whether it was the minority or majority of troops who were affected is beside the point. Even one soldier who has to come back to this country and stay in a rat infested dump like that is an utter disgrace to our country. We should be ashamed of ourselves to have treated these young men and women this way.
Just because it's a volunteer military doesn't mean you can treat them like you're playing a game of Call of Duty. They signed up expecting to defend this country against legitimate threats, not some trumped up bullshit. So because they chose to volunteer, their lives suddenly mean less?
You complained about people not showing respect to the President. I say respect should be earned. You don't earn respect by treating people in this country that way.
