We've haven't had the chance to meet yet, but I truly feel your loss with you. About two months ago, I lost my feline companion of 10+ years... a cat who was in many ways more like a dog than a cat... everyone who ever met him found him to be extraordinarily special, and I can imagine that losing the last living link to your best friend and business partner would be that much more devastating.
Like you, my friends through the industry are most of my connection to other people. My business partner AJ is the most amazing person in the world... both as a friend and as a business partner... and I can't imagine what I'd do if I ever lost him, so I can truly understand the difficulty you're going through.

my dogs are more important to me than most people in the long run...ive had one of my dogs for about seven years now...i take him with me everywhere...he was a stray and so was my second dog...to be honest i dont even like thinking about them not being around...

Awww I am so sorry to hear about both of your losses! When I was going through something similar someone said the best way to honor that person or in this case pet and person ... Is to remember them with love and know that the pain you are feeling now will cease in time... But take your time to grieve and reach out to other friends! He was 16. Each day gets a little better ... I think my other dog is the main reason for it. He sleeps in bed with me and is with me all day. Even the first few days, we wasn't eating. He knew something was wrong and I know he misses Indy too.

Here is one more picture. This is of my 2 best friends. This was Bruce and Indy before Bruce passed 4 years ago. Man, we all had so much fun together. We each had a dog and made up a pretty nice family ... 2 best friends and their dogs. I miss those days.
I miss Bruce so much, and now Indy is gone.
I hope wherever Bruce ended up Indy girl is with her-
I'll never forget taking her for walks and taking her out when Bruce was gone-
She was a great girl, I always think about Bruce and her wrestling and it brings tears to my eyes.

Wow.. I am so sorry for your loss.
My father had a dog, name was Buck. He went to work with my dad every day for 10 years. I remember he would start to bark when he would get close to the house. The dog was his best friend. In all the years I knew my dad, I never saw him cry... until he found out Buck had died and we had to go pick him up. The whole family was in mourning for weeks. It just isnt the same without him around.
I feel for your loss.... makes me appreciate the time I have with my dog, Justice every day.
