depends.. if you just want a standard action then 5 minutes.. but pic and thumb optimization shouldn't be done automatically.. the auto contrast on photoshop can do some funny things.

Hi Stacey it should take you in between 15 to 30 minutes to get that job done. Anymore time would you would be doing something wrong.

It takes me 40 minutes to design a high quality gallery and about 20 minutes to slice it.

Just out of interest how long does it take webmasters to build galleries?

Well, I wouldn't personally use a PS action to fix the Auto Contrast because it could be different for each picture. (Unless in this case you're sure the same settings will fix each pic in the gallery.)

One action to resize them all, another to make them all into thumbs, another action to watermark the originals... only 20 pics per gallery? Two hours at most.

Those are the easy things for me, the PS actions. What holds me up is the individual picture tweaking if it's needed. Adjusting the brightness, cleaning up red eye or acne, etc.

SEO stuff : 15 mins

The Action is already built ......so I would think it would only be the time to crop 20 pictures 150 X 150 ?

Do you think that is possible to do in 10 mins ?

Probably depends on the quality output you're looking for, more than anything else. You might be perfectly satisified with a 10 minute job, and maybe even unable to really tell the difference between a 10 minute job vs a 1 hour job. However, you should do some tests if you're wanting 10 minute results to see if the conversions are similiar.

Hmmn...if you're job is submitting galleries and that you've been doing it for months then 15-20 minutes is quite easy...but if its your very first time to submit galleries then expect some time to adjust...

Who is talking about Submitting galleries ..... I said the time it takes to run 20 pictures thru an already build photoshop action .... and crop 20 thumbs ! ! ! !

The design is already done.... all is needed is to run the 20 pics thru an action... and crop 20 thumbs !

So do you agree that if it took an employe 5 and half hours... it is way too long ? ? ?
