Prostitution is usually illegal in the "civilized world" - Costa Rica has the sense to keep it legal and not try to hide it. It's nice to see real freedoms

so funny how prostitution is all over here and yet it doesnt effect the family values here. People take care of the kids and elderly here more then I have ever seen its amazing.

Watching all this is like watching a bad movie. The one where the two guys are fighting over a girl, Meanwhile the girl gets killed by the horror movie phsyco. We are all slowly dying, all of these things are just catalyst, take a deep breath and look at the big picture everyone. Stop focusing on your own personal needs. It takes millions to save millions. Yep!!! I noticed even kids/teens show respect for each other.

I ended up in hospital here for a few days and was amazed that everyone and their dogs ended up visiting on a daily basis. That is something that just would not happen elsewhere.

Also think people here prob have a less pressured lifestyle and more likely to have time to offer more consideration to their families.

You and others seem to forget that the US has a representative government. This includes locale, county, state, and federal government. The government is composed of people elected by the people to represent them. In the federal government the members of the house have to be elected/reelected every two years, the President every four years and the Senate every six years thus the goverment (elected representatives) changes periodically. If the people are not satisfied with government (elected representatives) the solution is simple, change the elected representatives.

And here ends the explanation of the obvious.

being an american has lost its luster for me they want to control every single thing I do. the only reason I still have real estate there is because of family and I have to pay my taxes no matter what even if I dont live there anymore. Just because I was born on US soil talk about bullshit.

Great thread, I wanted to take it back to the subject for a second... the wall going up.

I've read each post thoroughly and many posters believe that illegal immigrants are a real problem. How did you come to this conclusion?

1) Did an illegal immigrant kill someone you love?
2) Did you see it on CNN and believe it?
3) Do you think the president's speeches and agenda are really about what's good for you the individual and not the result of popularity metrics and teams of people working 24/7 to brainwash the public into forgetting about the war?
4) Did you lose a ditch digging job to an illegal immigrant?

Granted, I am not living on the border experiencing some of the bullshit and riff raff that comes accross but in my experiences, most of these people are very hardworking and respectful people who want a better life. Let's face it, all of us have met Americans that would slice their mother's throat for a buck. I've met some real scum bags that have stolen money from children to buy crack, and these people haven't worked a day of honest labor in their lives and they call themselves Americans.

Let's take a 100 year view of things and not a "keyhole" perspective. Where is all this going, really? Probably similar to Minority Report where there are eye scanners on every street corner and subway station and everyone is micro-managed by the governing powers. Isn't that where it seems like it's all headed? The wall... the scare tactics to make everyone think they are being protected... More and more prisons... "We are protecting you"... Send us more tax dollars to continue to protect you while the powers that be squeeze the life out of real freedom everyday.

Everything about the wall is wrong... Watch CNN and get the politcal agenda of the moment. I haven't watched TV since Christmas (try unplugging from the Matrix sometime and you will find freedom) and I turned it on the other day and was blown the fuck away. I saw we are spending millions in tax dollars to prevent puppies from being smuggled across the border. They report on how bad it is, they find dogs taped up, locked in trunks... I mean there are task forces and sting operations to prevent puppies from being smuggled accross the border. WTF?!?! Am I wrong in saying that if it were opened up this would be less and less a problem. It's like when you don't have money and you want a bad ass car.... Then when you have money and the car you become indifferent to it.
