are rims from SUV's different than normal car rims?

ive seen some 17" rims, i think they come from an SUV. Maybe a weird question but is there a difference between rims from SUV's and the same size rims for normal cars? Because 17" on a normal car has flatter tires while on SUV's it has big tires on them, so i thought maybe the style of how they make those rims is different.

btw not talking about official rim sizes - i have no idea how they call it in english so i just describe it: im familiair of the space between bolts, the width of the hole in the middle etc.

ah yea 'offset' is how that is called in english... already checked that, the offset, bolt patterns and the center hole size is good..
Im more talking about the style how they make them. I guess there is no difference then?

if they fit they fit.. (altough double check SUV's ussually have wider rims)

Its not they have special SUV rims or something.. But yeah you got quality and you got crap. Crap can go on a SUV as it can go on a normal car. Same goes for quality..

Its advisable to take stronger quality ones for an SUV tho because of the weight of the car..

The tires look like that because they're made for a heavy SUV vs a normal sized car. Although I do have SUV tires on my car but that's because of the rim size and width.
