    Starbucks is giving out FREE coffee!

    Apparently they invented the "greatest coffee of all time" so to prove it they are giving out samples for free.. but for a limited time.

                      Im not surprised StarBucks has to give away coffee. People are waking up to the fact their burnt offerings is not what real coffee should taste like. Its why Tim Hortons coffee in Canada is doing so well ( its not burnt and bitter !!)

                                      I get free coffee a few times per week when I walk buy Starbucks during rush hour. It's always a shot of this, a shot of that, and never a full cup. But I'm not expecting the greatest coffee of all time to come from Starbucks, no way.

                                              lol you know why they are doing this? I have been to starbucks about 3 times in my entire life and then about two weeks ago I was buying my daughter a happy meal at mcds and they were giving out free samples of their new Iced coffe and let me tell you that shit was fuckin good. No joke I have gone to mcds about 10 times so far to buy just that iced coffe, I hate eating there unless its for my daughter so they made an extra $20 or so from me that they would have never made other wise

                                                  is it just me or is there something about Starbucks' paper cups that make the coffee taste funny? Don't really notice it with a latte style drink, but just coffee you can taste it, or at least I can.

                                                      I very much admire the company and the way they train staff, they have a very consistent product. But their product is very poor when you compare it to the quality coffee that is available in the smaller gourmet coffee shops. I used to think SB was the greatest because i had nothing to compare it to, but after trying coffee shops all over California i realize that i was mistaken and that roasters like Moto coffee or Ryan Bros even Detric coffee roasted and brewed correctly tasted like ambrosia when compared to the burnt products SB sells

                                                          Best coffee I ever had was in Venice Beach/Marina Del Rey on Washington Street, about a mile East of the beach. I forget the name of it, but they roast it right there in the place, and make each cup individually (filter on top of a cup). They had good bagels too.

                                                              Coffee is so over rated. Strabucks has people drinking coffee who wouldn't normally drink that shit. They drink it just so they can be apart of the in crowd and have 'the look'. I refuse to go there everyday and give them a portion of my earnings like a lot of people do. $3 per day x 7 days per week = $21 per week. $21 per week turns into $84 per month. Multiply that $84 per month times 10 million people. I refuse to be apart of that. They're fooling enough people already.

                                                                                              Your 100% correct they do purposely burn their beans. Its because they buy vast amounts of green beans that no single grower can supply at the price they pay. So they buy from a large number of growers who all produce beans that taste different. To make the coffee consistent in every store they mix huge vats of these bean and over roast them slightly to give a strong bitter taste, thereby masking the true flavor.
                                                                                              Remember they by cheap, way cheap. The average coffee shop cannot compete with their buying power so you will find the smaller companies charge a little more, i for one am happy to pay 10, 20 or even 30 cents more for ( Fair Trade ) coffee that has flavor.

                                                                                              Fair Trade = a fair price is paid to grower

                                                                                                                                      Anyone who says Tim Hortons even comes close to Starbucks is being ridiculous. The people that rave about Tim Hortons are people that buy their coffee at gas stations otherwise.
