I have yet to see a child support lawyer but I've been sending money on my own accord and I'm sure it's more than I'd be court ordered to pay.

Lets see - I had two kids(twins - boy and girl), I got divorced while I was in the military so I was docked the 70% maximum that the military allows a divorced wife to get, then for the next 15 years after I got out of the military I paid every fucking week 50% of my pay for child wupport - that never made it to the kids - and sent it directly to her to "avoid processing delays" with "child support" written on every check.
At the end of the 15 years (the end of my committment according to the original order), the bitch goes to court and tells the judge that I never paid my child support, gets an order of garnishment from them, gets the NY tax dept to garnish my savings account all at once, then the judge calls for a hearing.
I drive to NY from Tenn, walk in with every cancelled check with those child support words written on them for 15 years, and her signature on the back,....and the judge says...well ... you didnt send them through the child support division so officially you never paid - so you will have to pay it again...which to keep out of jail, I did - of course none of the original , nor the second time I paid, went to the kids - because she happened to lie about the fact that they were living with her - which they werent - she had put them into foster care
She now goes around to "support groups" in NY teaching other recent divorced wives how to accomplish the same thing
