Misconceptions about the Biz

I was talking with some friends, and started on this list. I am sure others can add to it. But the general public's view on us goes something like this..

If you are in the porn biz..

-You are not rolling with Heff, and hanging out at the Playboy mansion.

-You are not trying to hijack their browserrs 24/7 and trying to steal their credit card info.

- You do not hang out with centerfolds and rockstars 24/7, nor do they all know you on a first name basis.

- You cannot get them access to any porn site of their choosing, or know the owner on a first name basis to get "da hook up".

-You do not walk into every bar, club, restraunt, shopping mall flipping out business cards and offering to make "her" the "next pornstar".

-You are not fucking your models.

-Not everyone in this business is making phat bank, rolling with showties, sippin on fowties, and think they are legalize pimp juice.

Those are just a few I remembered off the top of my head. Add yours.

Well there are a few people who get these perks, but the problem, atleast with people I meet, and talk with outside of the biz. Friends included, is that ALL OF US can do the above and more.

This biz is anything but fun or glamorous...

Once ya really are in it...

You are pretty much fucked, count on barely getting by and being broke.

Odd's of you making it in this biz is worse than the odd's of being a rockstar.
Its not impossible to be succesful but ya better have a "thing" or really good plan.

Ya can code pages day in day out and phoom 5 years later you are still no further than when ya started. Its great side income for a college student or novalty side hobby for those with a few bucks already in there pocket.

Beyond that Porn biz is broke, get used to being ripped off constantly, get used to people talking shit about you...

No I get dressed at some point in the day. As for video games, I stopped playing the WOW, and EQ when I got into this full time.
