                          i have been using openoffice for quite some time as well, on my laptop i am running debian, with full wifi capabilities, gimp, and open office... i couldnt be happier!

                              Yep I switched too.
                              Switched to Thunderbird for email FireFox for browsing and OpenOffice, get rid of all your Microsoft products.

                              I will switch my OS as soon as it is practical.

                                          Can anyone comfirm if openoffice uses up a lot less system memory than MSoffice ? I'm looking to have smaller programs running on my pc so everything loads faster

                                          Also how does it compare to MSoffice ?
