The graph means nothing, i've analyzed the top sites traffic reports.
Viral marketing is trashing Alexas numbers, the bottom line is
if you looked at the daily page requests for those sites for everyday in the past 4 years... the page requests and bandwidth usages are pretty similiar today to what they were 4 years ago..
What has changed is the # of distinct hosts visitng these sites.
But you tell me, is the reduction number of disctinct hosts a sign of reduced
traffic, or an increase in proxy use amd cut down of dynamic ip ranges?
The world have been running out of ip's and proxy science has improved, so on and so on.... I bet the traffic is pretty similiar to what it once once.. Only with viral marketing now the MAINSTREAM has figured itself out, so the numbers are just increasing for the other sites..

but the main page traffic is decreasing and number of signups too, while there were recently even a small raise of spot prices.
I give it a year and I wont be buying spots for current prices from you again (because of decreasing profitability)

Sure..... 7 years ago I bookmarked the Hun.... now look where i'm at today - times change - yes I still trust the Hun, but i'm not visiting him on a daily basis anymore - and neither is a lot of his "bookmarkers" either.. they are leaving for other "trusted" sites, in niches that cater more to them.
It's the same thing as 15 years ago, you were forced into listening to certain types of music, and back in the 50s and 60s there were only a few genres period. Those artists made a killing because they had a captive audience, now a days, the world is your oyster and everything is served on a silver platter in just about any combination you can imagine, and if it isn't, someone out there is building it.
That's the change that the graphs really focus on, and like some have previously eluded to, the Hun hasn't changed with the times. But then again, does he really need to when his source of revenue isn't from surfers? When he loses most of his surfers and webmasters don't see signups, and stop buying his paid placements, THEN you'll see changes... until then... he probably doesn't care.

In the adult industry a lot of people are too affraid to touch something that makes them good money. They don't realize that they could make a lot more money by some simple changes. Imagine if the hun had added a review secion, or an amateur section with user submitted content, or even a 'tube' section, etc. over the past years, anything that made it more web2.0. If he had done that it would probably still be the biggest porn site around + he would make a lot of extra money.

The ones whose traffic went down stopped paying for the exit and 404 traffic that sextracker sold. Heh-heh. People, one of the reasons the hun is STILL the biggest tgp in the world is because he doesn't change the basic way his site looks. Yes, he could add a tube section and other little things if he wants to. But he should NEVER change that basic design.
It's like when you go to Disney World and find that they have taken away one of your favorite rides. It pisses you off. Or if you go to that bar that has always been your favorite and find that they have changed the music, the look, the bartenders etc. to be more "modern".
The Hun should keep his basic look. It's what people know and love. Any of the big original TGP's that EVER change their classic style would be making a big mistake.
Yes, add some bells and whistles if you must. But you just don't change a legend.
Anybody remember "new" Coke? Or how about when Ford changed Mustangs to look like square boxes on wheels. Funny how all the newest Mustangs are back to looking like 1969 Mach 1's again isn't it?
I wouldn't give 2 cents for all the cold, heartess cookie cutter sites out there with no personality. I'll take the hun's yellow page with the crudely drawn "viking" cartoon characters any day.-Robbie

Well I for one can tell you I have a lot of success using the hun.
In fact, when I first started making mgp's, I submitted there, and got so much traffic that it actually crashed my server! I upgraded all my hardware and software, and upped my bandwidth, etc... all because of the hun. I instantly know when my galleries have hit, because the hits go up and more importantly the signups go up.Comment

The Hun visitors go for the niches. The surfers he lost are most likely the guys who found all the vanilla porn they'll ever need on tube8. People have been saying that the Hun is going down the shitter for at least 5 years now, and he still the biggest TGP, to this day.
TGPs in general are a bear in these days. I co-own one myself, and am the first one to admit that TPG traffic and conversions suck donkey dick right now. It's only logical that The Hun is impacted too.
The reason why the Hun is still big is because he is always friendly, clear, and professional. Many micro-TGP owners are behaving like fucking mini dictators, thinking somebody would even give a rats ass if they ban you from their loser-program that gets 4.000 visitors a day, because you accidentally submitted to the wrong category.Jenny Seemore
