Oil just hit an all time high today and I have not changed anything I do. I just pay more and complain once in a great while...

It doesn't really bother me. I work from home and don't do much driving. The only thing I kinda notice is the amount road trips cost me now.Conversion Sharks - 1,000+ adult dating offers, traffic management, and consistently high payouts.

I dont really care that much. I just watch where i go with car bit more then i did before, but overall, not much changed for me. Even if it goes double. I'm more concered about all other things getting more expensive because of the gas.agentGFY *at* gmail.comComment

Personally I drive very little and always group my trips anyways. However I do care a great deal as I depend on the average person to supply me with my money and I will never loose contact with my consumer base.Comment

I work from home and seriously drive one mile a day, so it doesn't affect me much in that regard. However, it does seem to affect sales which is no good for any of us.Comment

Wow, you drive less? Pay just a little more at the pump?? Yup, no reason to care there.
Oh but wait, the rising prices of produce and other products does suck, thanks to their higher transportation costs.
The higher prices of services that people offer due to their higher expenses now... that kinda sucks.
The economy going in the toilet due to some rich bastards getting richer at our expense, that really sucks... on a national/global scale.
The fact that paying a little more for gas now than yesterday isn't so bad, but paying double what I was paying a couple years ago really is pretty bad.
Then there's the people who buy less memberships, hire me less to do projects (when I was freelance) and share less with me because they're all bothered by the gas prices more than I am... that sucks a bit.
Do I really care? It would be stupid not to.Comment

Nope, I still drive around aimlessly when bored and cruise for hours driving around with no particular destination just to listen to music and because of boredom (I have nothing else to do sometimes). I probably waste shitloads of gas driving around just cruising for HOURS.
I work from home but lately I just enjoy driving around the streets just for the sake of driving around listening to music. It's a party in my car (party of one). I been cruising MORE now that its more expensive vs before, why I dont know. I am sure it's affecting my sales since people buy less memberships but I personally dont care if i have to pay more.
Actually I never even look at the price, thats how much i dont care. I just pump it in my car and thats it.Last edited by bausch; 06-27-2008, 01:23 AM.Comment

I care because food costs are going up and are other goods that are transported by anything that need fuel.Comment

I sold my car and bought a biiiike! No shit, in AMS you just need no car anymore. You cant park anywhere and cant get through the city as easy as with a bike.Read TOS for signature rulesComment

why the hell wouldn't anyone care?Comment

it bothers me a bit, but more towards the people who cant afford it.
my
is that this really effects the lower-middle class of society more than anything. these are the people who work two jobs to support their family and cant afford a car that is new than 1992, which in return get shitty gas mileage. For them, the additional $10 in gas per week may be 20% of their food budget. but since gas is a necessity to most, they have no choice but to pay.
however, in the case of probably most of us here, even if gas went up $1 per gallon today, it wouldnt put a huge drain on our pocket (im assuming that if your sitting on the internet, you have extra money to spare or you would be working another job).
my car costs $70 to fill up (17 gallon @ $4.25 for 91) and i probably piss away a tank a week. if gas went to $5.25, that would mean its an additional $884 a year in fuel, which i will just pass that right along as a tax right off (hopefully) and go about my dayEmail: Clicky on MeComment

My car sucks on gas but I'm lucky, it's a 2004 and has less than 20,000 miles on it so I don't really drive enough to feel the crunch, but I did the math.... If I had to do any substantial amount of driving, I would be screwed.Need a Writer? Contact Me. I write quality descriptions, short erotic stories, quality one-liners.. whatever you need.Comment

I use about 2000 Litres of gas per year, max. so, a 50% increase in price equals about $1000 per year or $83 per month. This represents a trivial amount of money to me and most people.
If $83 or $100 a month breaks your back, you are walking a fine line, probably time to re-assess you financial situation.I died.Comment

I really haven't changed anything on my routine. But they are starting to talk about inflation and raising prices down here in Brazil, so I'm a little scared.
Even though I think that a recession down here would be great for me once the dollar would go up a little and 70% of my income is in dollars.I'm just a newbie.Comment

Food prices and taxes rising, Citigroup near bankruptcy, wars in Afghanistan, Iraq soon in Iran, real estate / mortgage / stock markets on the verge of collapse.
It's called the perfect storm.
Even Barclays Capital expressed concern for its wealthy clients.

Like a few others mentioned, no matter if you feel you are personally effected or not the people who are paying for memberships, etc online are in general feeling it.you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..Comment

Not really, but higher gas prices means higher prices for everything, it does matter a bit.Comment
