See here's the problem I see, I'm really not looking for a fight here, but if your going to bash something, come up with some tangible reasons, not verb's that are better suited for McDonalds!

Look, no I don't know who you are, but you came out of the gates with vague insults, what were you expecting?
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
        think about that

What if I install the free version of Comus and I upgade it to the paid version after a while, will I need to reconfigure something?

How were my opinions vague? Comus suffers from bloat. What is confusing about that? I also said that the admin interface is a clusterfuck. Again, how is that confusing?

Also, don't take things said about Comus personally. When someone voices their opinion the LAST fucking thing you should do is call them clueless. Remember, you attacked me. I didn't start this. All of your pissing, moaning and childish antics in this thread has made Tony (aka Sixzeros, Comus Thumb's programmer) lose sales. Nice job.

You keep saying you don't want to start a fight. Yet, I kept my first comments to the scripts, you got personal saying something half ass'd about me posting to see my name.

Yes, I can stay on topic, but you are an easy target to get your panties all mangled up and it was fun while it lasted.

If numbers are what you need for you to stop being a dick and for other people to take my comments seriously so they won't make the mistake of buying comus, I grew a network of niche tgps to 400k a day within 3 months starting from scratch with 100/hr feeder for 24 hours..

ATX & ST are excellent scripts if you are serious about making unique, quality, long lasting websites for your online business.

Upgradeing is just changing the license key

Yes I take it personnaly sometimes, for that I apoligize, but help me understand what you mean about bloat? Too many features? And what about the admin section? are you talking about the lastest version or the one that was there 6 months ago, the newer admin section is completely different, the design and the layout, even autocropping works a little differently,Tony has been very busy working in new features and making the script work better and faster

Vendzilla, I see what people mean about the interface, there is so many things inside Comus that the GUI is hard to understand.

You probably need quite a few hours of training and reading to be able to understand a little bit of the way the script work's.

I'm speakin for myself because I dont know much of those scripts.

I believe that you're so used to it that it's really easy for you but maybe your programmer should sit down with someone like me that does'nt know much about those scripts and see what he could do to make a friendly interface.

This is a constructive remark I'm making here, I'm not closing my mind to Comus by the way, it looks very complete and probably more than other scripts but the GUI is hard to navigate and understand when you dont know much about TGP's.

It can be over whelming, there are just alot of tools, but the basics are just that, basic! I'd be more than happy to walk you thru anything you need to know and I'll show you an easy way to find answers fast by just using the search function in the support forum. Some think that it's too much, my belief is better too much than not enough. You don't want to get one script, then have it not have a feature that you need! And Tony is always listening to his users for more ideas to add to make it more profitable.

from tgprotator because it was a recource hog.. the tables got 'broken' a lot
from comus because we tested it and it was faster, needed less recources and was cheaper

anyhow.. for a long time Comus was our #1 choice and the support we got from boneless was perfect that guy went on a limb for comus and us.
We just moved on to a new product that we see more fit to our needs and works best in (again for us ) combination with ATX (arrowscripts.com).

                                    Hope this resolves your question

you pay for the license key so it becomes a non-skim version
and you can "remove" the powered by comus thumbs on the bottom of your template

anyhow.. for a long time Comus was our #1 choice and the support we got from boneless was perfect that guy went on a limb for comus and us.
We just moved on to a new product that we see more fit to our needs and works best in (again for us ) combination with ATX (arrowscripts.com).

                                        Hope this resolves your question
Boneless is a really good guy
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
                                        think about that

A very useful thread. I have been wanting to know more about TGP as well as I am mostly familiar with toplists which seem to be ancient. I see that one of my favorite sites is using Comus, and Comus is what I see discussed on this site the most. So I will try out a trial version and if it works great, I will buy a license. It did look overwhelming when I looked at the interface but I guess that is how anything will be when you are not familiar with it.

I think people need to realize that tgps are slowly gaining more diversity in layouts and styles, such as the recent growth in thumb category type tgps, I think different tgps need different scripts to perform their functionality the best. I will be honest here and say it's been a long time since I have used Comus, so my previous comments about it being lacking compared to Smart Thumbs may very well not have much substance too it as Vendzilla would say, however I have used plenty of scripts and for what I have used, ST and ATX have given large amounts of flexibility and even help myself generate ideas for more diverse tgps, which is something surfers enjoy seeing. It's all about delivery and content.
