Agree with this, however, the issue that the Mexican government is trying to point out, is that on occassion, convicts that were prosecuted for the exact same crimes as American citizens (as in both were taking part in the crime) got death sentence while the Americans got life sentence or even only a few years... due to the ability of the Americans to make a deal with the law or to get better legal deffense. And that appeals pretty much always get refuesed... This and also that there's a higher average of Mexicans getting death row for similar crimes than the White American Male - this sort of issue has been brought up often too regarding how African Americans are more likely to get death sentence too...

Sometimes guys that should get death row don't and sometimes guys who shouldn't, do get it. Justice and law are rarely the same thing.
