i would not suspect they spent much in production
the point was to make it look organic

however they must have spent some good money keyword testing, and traffic optimizing for youtube.

i have done that kind of work before and i only got to 20k per day in view on the videos

really good use of the what people are watching now to keep the video alive

figure they must have done some paid blog feeds to get the ball rolling

what really cool is if you look at the what related bar they got a whole bunch of people to respond with their own wii fit videos

all product placement promoting the wii controler for free.

which in turn resulted in traffic back to the root video.

how much you want to bet that the advertising agency is going to get a lot more clients because of this success.

Obviously they will be a lot smarter and post it under a fake account

I'm not sure how many people really care who is posting, and if they did it under a "Fake" account, then they wouldn't get the attention/credit from the people that actually would care and appreciate the job they did.

And the fact that this video was posted on digg .....

actually if you go thru the history of how they did, they just put the digg story up cross linked it to their youtube and then went crazy posting it on all the blogs etc they could find that would accept it

people came to the site and shared it which pumped it digg rating which drove more traffic

which caused it to show up frequently on the what people are watching now

which drove more traffic

and so on until it got to the number it did
