I used to do peer to peer safe sex education work in uni and it included the female condom. Let me tell you just about no one knows how to use them correctly. We had some real horrid things that people did because no one told them how to use them.
One that sticks in the mind was when the woman in the couple used the female condom and the man wore his own condom and they didn't think to use lube. Well boys and girls..what happens when you get a lot of friction on latex?

i'm guessing that two years is just their way of saying a long term couple..most likely without additional partners. So, they studied couples who weren't long term and they also did long term couples. Perhaps by effectiveness they are including the chances of becoming 'lazy' and not using it. In which case, more women would get pregnant or an STD and would show up on their chart as not having used it correctly.Comment
