I used to do peer to peer safe sex education work in uni and it included the female condom. Let me tell you just about no one knows how to use them correctly. We had some real horrid things that people did because no one told them how to use them.
One that sticks in the mind was when the woman in the couple used the female condom and the man wore his own condom and they didn't think to use lube. Well boys and girls..what happens when you get a lot of friction on latex?
I think it is great that there is a product for women to take things into their own hands (so to speak) but there is little to no education available to them on how to use it and most men wouldn't even recognize one.
Oh, and little known fact..the instructions on them say they can be used in male/male anal sex ..or atleast they used to.
