Blog Owners Busted - Links removed

Once a month I go through all of the blog links that I've traded links with and review them to see if my links are still up. The following blogs seemed to have removed my links so I've taken links to their blogs off my site.

I'm doing this for fun mostly; It's disappointing to see others can't even put links up.

Here's the list of links removed:

Adult Blog Index
Blimp Boobs
Mush Head
Non Nude Blogs
Teenie Knockouts

yes, link to link checker, I got it couple of years ago (it's a freebie), try Google and see if you can get it form somewhere

The way I set up my system is that each blog has a counter field in the db and the first time my scripts can't find a recip link it lets me know and I do a manual check.. If it's not there I push a button and the system fires off an e-mail to the "offender". The second time the same happens, but the email is a bit harsher. The third time the link is deactivated and the webmaster is banned from trading with any of my sites again.
I have my scripts running daily through cron to make sure it catches them..

That is a good policy but I would go a step further to remove blogs that do not update. My tolerance level is at a month. If they do not have an update within a month time, then they are a waste of time.

If you still have my link up I'll add you back right now. I was looking through the links and there was more people not linking than linking so I dropped everything and am starting from scratch.

Treasurebucks, my current experiences suggest that while blogs do not DIRECTLY generate as big an income as some other potential setups, used as part of a strategy to target certain markets they do add significantly to the mix.

There is no difference in reality from a fake TGP or a picpost or any number of other techniques to develop targetted traffic. However, like any weapon, if you aren't aiming at a target, and if you haven't developed a strategy to hit that target, then it is no more useful than a hun gallery listing with no sponsor links.

I check all my links on teenxxxblog every sunday. Infact was doing it right before I came on GFY today! It seems the people that hit you up either email or skype, seem to be the ones that keep your links up longer or what I have found. Seems to me that the ones that sign up through the trade script, keep the links up for a certain amount of days and then your links get taken off. Maybe thats just my site. Don't know.

If your interested in blog trades, I am allways looking for more and more. Can even add it with out our script and near the top of the list of friends. Let me know.
