Rock is number 1 this year. Last year Rap & R&B combined (it's the same genre really) beat it.
Now if you take into consideration groups like The Black Eyed peas get lumped into the pop side of things you can see how the numbers are swayed in rock's favor every year.

I would rather listen to Rock but if I'm at a club I like Hip Hop because that gets the ladies dancing more.
As far as what's bigger I think they are pretty even. Music keeps blending together more and more anyway, so soon everthing will sound the same. Who thought 10 years ago you would have a song with a country guy like Tim McGraw and a rapper like Nelly.Comment
