When I was with WEG, I don't think I made a single sale off GFY. I made some off other boards but most of my sales were from people I've known in the business for years who couldn't care less about how many posts I had or what they contained

I will admit though it was a good "ice breaker" at shows: "Oh, yeah, I like your posts.". Whether or not any of those people actually signed up, I don't know ;)

The people I've met "in the real world" that I think are kickass are the same ones who kickass here on GFY. I just figured the ones I haven't met (and who are "popular" here on GFY) are pretty awesome in the real world, too!

One thing you gotta understand... there is no such thing as the real world... if GFY makes you a good living, then this is the real world for you. There are thousands of ways to earn a living ... PR people is one.
