    American Idol is Rigged

    There is no WAY Chris Daughtry would get ranked behind Elliot and Taylor. Truth be told, the only American Idol winners to have any real success after the show have all been female. I think the powers that be know this and therefore want to make sure Katherine McPhee makes it to the final round without any REAL competition and therefore rigged the results. You watch, next week Taylor will be gone and it will be Elliot and Katherine in the finals. Hmmmm, wonder who would win there? I'm just disgusted!

      There was a lot of money being wagered on Chris to win.

      Do you ever wonder why they never tell you the vote call counts? Who controls the vote? Who monitors the vote?

      With all that money going on Chris it was an easy play for the bookmakers to make tens of millions by taking out Chris by rigging the vote.

      The music industry is riddled with organized crime influences. There's always been shady business practices in this biz. Not surprising to see its migrated to this show now.

          Funny how you get the 'show is rigged' crap when a favourite is booted off!

          As I said somewhere else Chris has zero charisma and his style bored the pants off me, other people I talked to shared the same opinion so maybe that had something to do with it?

          Just a thought before we go down the fucking conspiracy highway to la la land.

              I think it is a popularity contest until you get to the final 4-5 but once there, I think someone other than "the public" is doing the actual choosing as to who stays/goes based upon their marketability/ROI.

              Chris is more of a "band" guy more than a solo artist.

              Elliot is a visually a soloist and has a nice voice overall, but when he carries a note he sounds like a sheep and damn I've never seen a white boy stick his lips out so far.

              Taylor has a great voice but damn - he looks like he's havin seizures when he sings/dances - that appeal wears off quick and I'd hate to be the director on one of his videos contantly repeating "damn dude - be still and just sing"!

              Kathreen has it all. Looks, body, voice, appeal. Her ROI is much higher than the others and is probably going to get the nod.

              I like all of the final 4 so no matter who gets booted - I hate to see em' go.

                  I never said Chris was my favorite, in fact my favorite was booted a long time ago. Actually I thought Sway had a helluva voice but was gone early on.

                          I think it is funny that people care enough to get upset or even discuss it.

                          Of course, I only watch the first few episodes before they get to Hollywood. Now that's entertainment!!

                                  My girl and I believe that America assumed Chris would make it to the next round. So everyone voted on who they wanted to survive. Assuming that "everyone else" voted for Chris, left voters calling in for their second favorite. Taylor, Eliot, or Kat. In turn leaving few votes for Chris, because most assumed his seat in the next round to be "in the bag".

                                                      his voice was starting to annoy me, he went from humble to egotistical, all of his songs sounded the same, we get it. you're a rocker with a bald head. take your ego and get off the stage.

                                                      although Im glad hes gone, I cant believe he left before McPhee, she sucks! lol cant sing 1 song without fuckin up a ton of keys and/or running out of breath. boooo!!

                                                                  If it's not rigged...the only thing I can surmise as to why Chris got the boot is that he and Elliot would have split votes (they look alike, they both sing very well)...and Taylor as well as Katherine have a different group of voters. My pick was Chris to win, hands down though. It's disappointing.

                                                                  At this point, my guess would be Elliot or Taylor to win...Katherine is in that same country-janra as Carrie Underwood and AI's got that market covered with her. IF it's rigged...Katherine won't win (but she can sing her ass off).

                                                                                  Totally agree - I will admit that I started to dislike Chris when he said "My fans expect certain things from me" I mean talk about a poncey up my own arse comment!

                                                                                                                  My heart broke for him when he was kicked out so cruelly -- the look on his face was just heartbreaking.

                                                                                                                  They say people all felt he'd win so stopped voting for him. I don't think it's rigged but I think Katherine sucks so who knows?

                                                                                                                  Elliot is the only one who REALLY improved and knew he had to in order to be in the finals. While his looks aren't all that, his voice is great, but not all singers are good looking -- look at Mick Jagger, Iggy Pop, Gary Cherone to name a few.
