The plot this season simply isn't compelling. I actually enjoyed last season, however the 'mystery' of the island theme has been leaned on a bit too heavily lately - very little of which I find genuinely intriguing, and none of which is ever tied up at all before introducing some new "mystery"... too many loose ends and not enough significant events to generate real interest.
The introduction of the new characters - none of whom were even likeable - seemed like a transparent (and unlikely) attempt to inject new conflict into the series but mostly distracted from the building of the established characters of last season.Comment
