Biggest issue that keeps so many in play is that hosting can be free, content is free, the scripts are free, the work is almost done for you, so in reality it is near impossible to bottom out and assuming your close to it you can just whore youself in some contest threads and clear a hundred or two a month.

to clarify, i was trying to get an answer from the people that work at least 20-40 hours in adult and may not consider adult their main income source (they work primary job)...
at some point, i would have to think that working 20-40 extra hours a week in adult but only making an additional $100-$1000 a month at some point isnt worth the effort...
i was asking original question in hopes of getting an idea of how tough it is for the average person to make $ in adult these days and to determine if it is pushing them out of the industry...
so far, it seems (from the initial responses) that most are going to try to stick it out for at least another 6-12 months...
very opposite of what i was expecting, but its late on a weekend... we'll see what the weekday crowd has to say...
