how many of you here have it? if you have it. do you tell your partner beforehand or do you just use a condom and keep it a secret?

FACT: I know 2 people that post here that do not tell their partners that they have herpes, they just use a condom... It really bothers me that they have this little respect for their partners.

btw.. i am tested and clean (which i thank my lucky stars for cause i had many bareback adventures when i was younger)....

I've never seen it myself, but I do remember one girl many years ago, she was hot, and she invited me out and on the first date she brought up the fact that she had herpes.... it was strange because she was so matter of fact about it and we hadn't done any foreplay or anything really, and even though she was good looking and very cool, I didn't go out with her again, I kind of felt bad about it but I couldn't get past the fact, even though her honesty was really cool and she was a really nice person too, just unlucky to have flare ups on occasion I guess

Anyone that has ever had a cold sore has herpes simplex 1 and can give that to their oral sex partners even though genital is simplex 2, simplex 1 also has been shown to infect the sex organs.

If 1 in 5 people had herpes, wouldn't virtually everyone have herpes within a certain period of time?

But clearly a lot of people have herpes because I see those Valtrex ads on all the time so I assume they've done the research and know there is a pretty big audience.
