His time and positions were perfect for the 2000 election, but the Bush machine crushed his presidential chances to death and dust.
Now he's just flipped on everything that gave him his "maverick" label and just doesnt realise it. He wants Obama to go to Iraq for some reason, as if being there makes a substantive difference which it clearly doesnt. He wants to debate in "town hall" debates because I'm sure he thinks he can stuff the halls with supporters. Or that if it's a small group, Obama will lose his marbles or something.
I forsee McCain clinging to talking points long after everyone and their dog knows they're just stupid. Such as trying to say Obama wants to hang in a cabana with castro and shit.
