Is it worth getting a PO box for payments?

Before i go into promoting sponsors, i'd like to know your thoughts on whether or not it is worth getting a PO box for payments to go to, as i don't particularly like the idea of my postal address being spammed back to the eighties by sponsors. However, PO boxes aren't exactly cheap - nearly £50 ($92) for 6 month's usage; so is it worth getting one?

I suppose you could use it for all your other shit-mail as well, so it really depends how much you make.

It's not a problem. I've had sponsor accounts for years and I don't get junk mail. They just send the checks.

Are other people getting SPAM/junk mail sent to their snail-mail address?

Either way, if you are doing this as a business I would recommend keeping your personal and business mail separate.

        Good luck.

I have one and the postal lady that puts the mail in the box decided not to deliver any checks anymore... went about 4-6 months without really seeing much of anything. Kept getting phone calls from Paycom asking why there's a "return to sender" stamp on the envelopes, and wondering what my new address was...

It was a load of shit. Just watch out man, certain people at the post office don't like porn and people getting porn checks. And yes... they will know it's porn.

haha sucks. i can see many tossing out checks because of an adult name. but it is worth it - people like to mail things in.

A lot of sponsors don't allow PO boxes. Might want to try something like UPS Store or Mailboxes Etc. This way it's an actual street address and they can't tell the difference.
