It doesn't. It needs SPF of at least 15 and not just any sunscreen will do because it has to be one that protects you from different waves of UVA/UVB rays plus it has to be stable as well. Many sunscreens in the U.S don't have stable ingredients but some do, in order to buy the sunscreen that offers the most protection you have to do research online.
I read that the most effective sunscreens are from Europe because they have a higher grade of "Meroxyl" than the ones available in the U.S because such a high dosage hasn't been approved yet by the FDA.
