I got my ass beat if I was direspectful or did somethign wrong. To this day I respect authority... Society today has lost all that and is one of the reasons why there's so little respect for ones fellow humans.. We need to get back to ass beating.

Could be. Or could just be that he needs an absent father to man up.

That is pure conjecture on my part, but I bet it isn't too far off base.

Not that an absent father would excuse a lacking in the mother, but it might contribute even more to what looks like an already bad situation.

As far as I'm concerned it's already too late to re-introduce an "absent father" to the mix and hope all will magically be fixed with the kid. I went on the premise of "to hell with the father"... and mother for that matter.

I still say the best thing for a kid like this is boot camp. For one thing he'll lose weight. For another he'll learn respect.
