When I was that age if I had mouthed off at my mother even a fraction of that I would have gotten my ass handed to me, and again later when the ol' man got home. And I'd have fucking deserved it, for being a mouthy little prick who doesn't have a clue about respecting one's parents.

But as luck would have it, my parents had the guts and the sense of tough love enough to whallup me when I needed it, and it shows to this day. I have never used foul language in front of my parents, and won't tolerate anyone else disrespecting them either.

Kids often need a firm hand. Society has all but forgotten this, thus you have mothers like this sitting there all surprised by their brat's behavior.
