I have the Sony HD SR5 I think it is. Nice little camera and great quality. I would go with a sony any day.

I own a Sony Handycam HDR-SR12 and it rocks, easy to use and navigate and looks great. I STILL can't figure out how to shoot in SD mode so if you figure that out please let me know...

For the price weve heard this is really good ?

Just so spoilt for choices and not sure !

I bought the Panasonic HDC-SD5 a few months ago. It's a great camera. No experience with the Sony HD cams.

ok thanks - im so confused the Panasonic HDC-SD5 seems best option as its 3ccd its price is cheaper and its still HD etc
but the Sony HDR-SR12 is not 3ccd and is more expensive but is still hd.
Just not sure what other differences.
