yeah some people really are stupid enough to chuck that shite without whiping their dirve and then they wonder why they get conned....

i've gone to computer shows and bought used drives and they weren't even formatted still had OS and personal files on them i was thinking to myself that the vendor had to be out of his mind...

Greta thing is, it can go BEYOND DOD SPECS too

Do a gutman and try to recover even a shred of a file let alone the cluster tip. DOD is only 7 writes, gutman is 35 with a very random pattern of 1's and 0's.

just take your puter apart and dump the parts in different locations ( that is in my case in different official government dumpsites that will try to recycle them ) your HD should end up in the ocean or whatever salty water you have available in your neighbourhood

i saw a show on it, and there is guys who look for throw out hard drives to collect personal information and sell it....
