This isn't really a response to what you are posting here just a continuation of a thought.
I think you also have a lot of fear in N. Korea, they know what the US is capable of doing (overthrowing their government) and want to do what they can to keep this from happening.
Imagine if the Taliban had just turned over Osama Bin Laden they would still be in power. There would still be the weekly executions at the soccer field, daily oppressive beatings of women etc.
But because of dogma and pride they lost it all.
I think the rest of these countries that Bush and team have labled as "axis of evil," now realize what just may happen to them.
Kinda like when Hussein first invaded Kuwait. He thought no one would give a rats ass, and then we spanked his.
