How do they feel about you being in the adult industry? Do they care? Do they even know what you do? "Oh I build websites sweetie.." or "web consulting..",, "Its just internet marketing.." DO they even know?
I fall under one of these categories, the 'They don't know shit Category'. This is something I totally do on the side and do pretty damn well I must say. But I don't know, I just don't tell anyone about it, my parents don't even know. Curious on what your guys positions are.. or girls..

Well, I got into this job because I am a sysadmin and just so happends i am a sysadmin of a bunch of peoples porn boxes LOL. My dad knows i work with the adult industry doesnt care, and my girlfriend is 100% supportive as long as I am not in the porn. But it is deff not something i go bragging about. So when most people ask wut i do, i simply say, I admin servers. So i dont know what your trying to get out of this, but dont hide it from the people close to u because they will find out and i think it would be a lot better if you were just open about it, then them stubmling into one of your history chats or something or another.

Depends what you are doing. Are you a webmaster, designer, marketing, sales guy, or are you a performer? There is a bit of a difference in the reaction there. First and foremost this is an internet based industry, throughout your life, the nature of the business may change but your specialities will tend to fall in line. I don't know about you but i'm an 'internet marketing expert' when it comes to those who dont know me or someone like my dentist. My parents don't care as long as I'm happy and my man I met after I was already in the biz..he was incoming.. so it depends on the type of person you are dealing with. Be honest but TMI is bad when unnecessary in most cases anyway. If it's on the side, internet marketing via affiliate programs, keep the details to yourself for awhile until you are sure, it's more exciting that way anyway.

I guess I am more on the lines of just figuring out how to approach it so they don't think I'm some sick wacko who watches porn all day. Because come on, when someone doesn't really have a clue of what you are doing, they are just going to assume worse accusations.

Im a girl, my boyfriend knows. Of course he loves it because all I do is sit at home all day, submit galleries and making over 6 figures a year. This yr my projected is over 150k and I don't even have to leave my house. I work whenever I want, I can leave the house anytime to go shopping, go to the beach, go on vacation, I do whatever the fuck I want and don't answer to anybody. No one tells me what to fucken do, I'm my own boss.

Why would my boyfriend mind?

I'm not smart there's no way I can make six figures a yr in a regular 9-5 job unless I work in those stressful sales type jobs such as being a mortgage broker or something like that. I hate dealing with people and that would be waaaay to stressful for me.

I taught him how to work on-line too a bit but he's kinda lazy and he HATES submitting galleries, for some reason he finds it a bit "stressful" to submit so much, but I'll get him in the swing again.

Of course the family doesn't know, I'm not that close to them anyways so it doesn't matter.

My girlfriend's fine with it. Granted, I do more back-end stuff then front-end.

I mean, if I went downstairs and got one of the models to suck me off while she was getting pounded from the rear by Shane... ya - can't say she'd be cool with _that_ ...

But since it's not gonna happen, and she knows that's not gonna happen, she's totally fine with it.

I dunno - guess it's a matter of confidence in your relationship and honesty on their end...

And after being with her for nearly 2 years, anything less would be a real turn-off for me.

Why would my boyfriend mind? He doesn't have to buy me anything (I have my own money), I have my own money and buy him stuff all the time. Of course he loves it!

Plus it will be because of my income and savings that we will be buying a house soon, so of course he wouldn't mind.

My goal right now is to get his income higher by getting him to do what I do, and with our combined income I plan to save and invest it so that in a few years we will be worth a few million dollars.

I'm not content and don't show my body on-line, all I do is make money, I don't know why any man in their right mind would mind.

she knows and shes fine with it. was taken a back a bit at first i think but when she actually saw what i did, she didn't care. the only thing she gets on me about is when i take a nap or don't work 'hard' enough. i think shes jealous i get to fuck around when i want and she doesn't.

never been a problem with me.
one ex though was all worried I wouldnt want to sleep with her. she got all freaked that she didnt look like a porn star (in her opinion, she was pretty cute tho) and then it was that I wouldnt want to have sex with her because of boredom & having to look at porn all the time..

My Wife makes me do this shit.

Its a tough life having to take snaps of other chicks pussy's, go through girls pictures and selecting the perfect girl for the next shoot. I think she has better taste in women than I do.

It's tough as she nag's me about imperfect photos outfit suggestions and location debates or bad lighting, or even when she gets over my shoulder watching me design with suggestions.

I've been dating my girl for two months and she thinks I design regular sites for small businesses. I know the longer I put off telling her the worse it might be, but I think it would be a big deal for her as she doesn't care much for porn, so I don't have the balls to do it right now.

i think there is a difference administrating a machine, and submitting galleries, or doing something directly related to using content.

you really aren't in the adult industry i don't think, your clients are.
