Can I hire someone to get my site listed in Yahoo?

Save your money . Get listed at google .

Google sends better then yahoo or any other. Youd better get someone to optimize you for google.

what i wanna know is how the fuck y-a-h-o-o gets away with charging for submitting a site without a guarantee of being listed? just because they can?

I have discovered that a highly favorable listing from Jane's Guide is 10 times better than a listing in Yahoo. How do you get a good listing in Jane's Guide? Create a great site. The listing, if you get it, is free of charge.

This topic reminds of that old Hollywood saying, "Who do I have to fuck to get into this movie?" and the corresponding joke, "Who do I have to fuck to get out of this movie?"

And I submitted my site to Google once. Is that enough or do I resubmit over and over again?

I don't think anyone here is going to hand you the answer on a platter, you need to do some research. I will point you in a few directions.

I did a LOT of research on all this, and I've gotten to the point where I have some sites in the top five on Google. But it took me awhile. I paid for a subscription for a year to a search engine magazine, that was VERY useful and taught me a lot of tricks. I read everything I could on keyword density, metatags, doorway pages, etc, etc. The research was invaluable...it isn't something easily capsulated, and for me it was hard won.

So my best advice is get reading and learn what works from the pros.

Marcus, do not submit over and over to any search engine or you will get blacklisted (for spamming them).

I believe it's about ever 3 to 4 weeks re-submit.

Even after you submit to search engines it could take 6 weeks before you see resluts and
some it will be right away.

Also there is a webmasters board on search engine's. Each search engine is Diff.
