    Soul, I had a pretty good idea of your intentions with that previous thread. You said it was a question that somebody asked you, but your intent was obviously to lay it out there and wait for something close enough for you to twist, then start a new thread pointing the racist finger at your chosen target.

    Yet, I withheld comment to that effect, choosing instead to give you benefit of doubt. It seems once again I have assigned far too much credit to you.

    Your argument has no foundation. And it's crumbling.

    When your "racist" attempt didn't pan out, you diverted to "discrimination" and "prejudice". Regardless, it is obvious that you have an agenda squarely pointed at raising tempers and drawing defense responses to be used in your quest for label attachment.

    You may be able to cite documented definitions of the word, but you have no true understanding of its meaning. If I were to apply your methods, I would be able to label every single person on the planet as a racist in one form or another.

    When you truly understand what it's all about, you don't need to know somebody for ten years to identify racism or discrimination. You can spot it in an instant.

            SR, and hartman, I don't think you're looking at this question the same way as several other people on this board. They are simply looking at the broader picture, and making valid arguments on the productivity of industrialized and information driven societies. They aren't referring to race. The question was asked, and Gary answered. In a world view, we attach "value" to people and societies that have knowledge, resources, and proceedures to make use of both. It's that simple. You can make as many anologies as you would like, and yes, the world is changing everyday, so the countries or people with value change everyday.

            But someone living in a nation where the government discourages achievement by individuals, or in a country that lacks resources, or in a nation ran by an extremist group that bans "the internet," (such as the Taliban), is obvously going to have a harder time making a world influence than someone in the US, for example.

            Does that make any sense? :-)

So evidently you're not talking about this view, or you wouldn't think every one is valued the same.

                                                                            So in a world view at this time, the most influential governements are democracies. This means value switches to productivity. Productivity depends on resources and knowledge, which are both deprived in 3rd world countries. If you're talking about a specific person, I've missed who you are talking about. If you're talking in "general," please exlain how "generalizations" can be ignored.
