Would you go to your high school reunion?

Mine is coming up this month .. Yah 20 years out of High school . damn Time flies bye.

Anyhow .. the high school Commity couldn't find me .. so they did the next best thing .. they found one of my Ex Girlfriends form High school .. She called my mother, whom in turn called me and I returned the call .. I explained to my ex GF that I didn't care about High school .. I didn't care then and I sure don't care now .. She went on to explain that many people have asked her to make sure I attend, I'm somewhat of a celebrity now ... She also told me that it was mostly women, mostly ex Gf's that wanted me to attend the most .. I was a bit surprised .. any how I told her I wasn't goin to attend at all ...

Yesterday I get an Email form her. I bought you a ticket fo rthe dinner, you have to come now! Besides the chick that's organising this is Hot now, and she used to have a crush on you...

What do you guys think .. Should I go ? My main reason for not wanting to go is that all my friends have kids, most are on they're 3rd now. I don't have any. I had married my college sweetheart but we got devorced before we had any childern. Another reason is I don't want to be the center of attention, Being this Porn producer might be fun for some people but for me I can't handle stairing eyes, and Pointing fingers .. I really am at a lost here .. Do I go ???

My Art Teacher : This woman was amazing. See taught me how to see better.
My French Teacher: I never had to do any work in his class, he was more my buddy then my teacher .. I never took a test in that class and he gave me a 96 as a final grade (A+) ...

However I think that I had heard that they were all dead

Said that everybody there, even though they were the same age as he was, looked like old drudged-out office drones... the words he used were "there was lots of souldeath there that day".

Wouldn't tell you go or don't... depends on your anthropological bent or desire to achieve satisfaction seeing how you escaped souldeath.

I would go for sure. Really, what do you have to lose? To some extent its true that if they were such good friends you would have kept in touch, but you also know how easy it is to fall out of contact people, even friends, and as the years pass on you just dont connect again. Plus, maybe people are doing interesting things and you could do some good networking. You never know. At the very least it sounds like a good time and could be a good laugh. I went to my five year reunion, and will be going to my tenth in a couple years.

Never went to my 10th and my 20th will be next year and I won't be going to that. Haven't seen or talked to anyone from HS in 13 years. Only reason for going is to see who I have outlived so far.

I agree with most, I never kept in touch with HS firends (other then a select few) so why take the drive up memory lane .. But the prospect of Fuckin an Ex GF that's married is very tempting. My 10 year will be in 4 years. and I think it would be fun to go. I only talk to a couple people from high school on a regular basis and it's funny to see how much people have changed. I see people out at the bars all the time, although it's usually all of the people I didn't like it in high school. They still hang out in the same groups they had in high school and some of them don't even know they aren't in high school anymore... lol. Quite pathetic and sad. I look forward to it.

I went to my 10 year, and wasted 3 days and 1k. I was pissed. The people that I went to school with are still the same sad loosers that they were before.

My ex wife and I were sitting in the pool, listening to some of the " Cheerleaders " talking about the boyfriends. One show the others a nice diamond ring, and said that she did not think that it was big enough of a stone to marry him.

Very depressing. To see so many people who went no where.

My home room class was the cream of the crop. All got high marks, and we got away with sh*t because of it. Great time in my life.

But, two success stories in the bunch... and they did not attend.

NEVER. Not EVER. HS was the worst years of my life, I'm still traumatized by my terrible childhood. Well it wasn't like like extremely terrible, but pretty close. I didn't have much money so was never able to buy all the right clothes, I never fit it, and I HATE HS. When I think about those years I cringe. I absolutely hate it.

High school was not the real me, today is the more the real me, but unfortunately not many people from HS are around to see it.

I had no significant other/dates or much friends through hs. It was the worst years of my life!!!

I probably need therapy to get over it. Even 10 yrs later I'm still traumatized. Hate it, HATE IT!!!!
