Actually, I don't personally sense any real homophobia. On the contrary, I think everyone is being really respectful. When you start asking people about something personal that could to some be considered as questioning their sexuality, I'd expect that it might raise some hackles, but I think people have been very up front and non-homophobic.

Welllllllll... I think some people manage to hide their "gayness", even from themselves, for quite a number of years. I've met people who really had no clue they were gay (at least consciously) until they were in their late 20s, even early 30s. Of course, in retrospect, they could look back and go "D'oh!" but denial can be enormously powerful. That said, a straight guy who gets buttfucked by another guy isn't going to get turned on by it.
