School officials ruled the Reidland High School teacher who made a pornographic movie will be suspended for the rest of the school year.
The teacher, Tericka Dye, and her attorney held a news conference this afternoon. Dye says she regrets making the movie, but doesn't think her past should affect her future. Dye says she plans to stay in Reidland and hopes to teach again.
Her lawyer, Mark Blankenship, says they don't have any legal options because Dye wasn't fired. Dye's contract was not renewed so if she wants to teach at Reidland again she will have to reapply this summer.
Dye wasn't alone at Wednesday's news conference. Behind her stood 30 students and parents. The group has started a petition trying to get the former teacher's job back.
School officials say the decision not to renew Dye's contract is in the best interest of the kids.

This is the school system in our area, it is pathetic and just plain getting fucked up. This week, my son went to school, he had pencil and paper in tow, but somehow lost his pencil between classes. I get a call from a very pissed off teacher saying he isn't working because he doesn't have a pencil, and my attitude is "so give the kid a fucking pencil and stop calling me every fucking other day over stupid ass shit", but you can't argue with them or it gets harder and harder on your kids, TRUST me, I have gone down this road SO many times it isn't even funny anymore.
So I find out when he gets home that a fellow student tried to loan him a pencil and HIS father was called for him trying to help a classmate out.
They had a field day, a free day at the end of the year for outdoor activities and so on, supposed to be a fun day. These two boys were banned from it because one didn't have a fucking pencil and the other tried to help. So I keep my son at home, call the principal about it and of course he wasn't there........ and guess what? NEVER bothered to return my damn calls.
This is just ONE incident, we have a new incident about every other week, and over the dumbest fucking shit!!
Last week, my SON gets threatened with an Atty because the idiot principal made a mistake in WHO said what to my son, he said this teacher cussed him out when it was another, so THAT teacher yanks my son out of class to threaten him with an Atty because he went and told a lie on her, when it was the principal's mistake!
Seems petty to some, but this is EVERY DAY around here! I had a teacher who taught Algebra II and Trig at a HS in the SFV that was suspected of being in an adult movie or two. Was really not a big deal, she was smart and ran a great class.
No one kicked her ass out and this was back in the 80s/Reagan era.

The past few years I've been taking classes and realized how hostile an environment I was in in high school and college. Fucking criminals and murderers, hookers, dope dealers and extortionists all over the place. Nowadays because of the web you can check up on old classmates and sure enough many teachers, professors and classmates ended up in jail or dead or fucked up because of their criminal shit. Sure they got caught eventually but not after their greedy hateful shit caused so much damage.
I get emails every month from classmates and old teachers/professors thanking me for keeping the peace back then. I spent more time keeping people from each other's throats than I could do in class. I graduated and got many awards for doing such stuff but still it was a fucking chore. It was either keep the peace or no study time whatsoever. Even the cops were swamped especially with the dope dealers. It was madness and at what should have been my junior year in college, Crack made it's debut. Total anarchy for ten years more.
Fucking shame we can't keep our schools protected and it's crazy nowadays as well. We can send 100s of thousands of troops worldwide to protect somebody else's shit but our own we leave dangling in the wind.
Fuck, I remember teachers and professors who were Mafiosas and no one said shit. I had a teacher, the best I ever had ended up being a murdering cannibal and made international news! It don't get more fucked up than "Hey, your favorite teacher just got busted for murder, torture and cannibalism!". I'll never forget that day. He even mentioned my name in a NY Times article a few years back.
Fucking insane country we have.
If they can't forgive that woman then fuck why should they be forgiven for their own shit? I'll bet a check with the crime statistics for that area will turn up more alcoholism and domestic violence than in an episode of CSI.Comment

The thing is, GOOD teachers are so damn hard to come by and to fire them for something so silly as this when there are other teachers just short of abusing these kids...... it is just blowing my mind. My son's 3rd Grade teacher literally jerked his book out of his hand and threw it and damn near hit him in the head, all because he forgot his homework and I called them and told them he did. We went round and round on this and that teacher retired the next year, she had no choice, a few of us were bordering suing that place and they knew it.

If you think it's ok for them to take her job away, you are saying it's ok for them to take her kids away. If she's not trustworthy with a classroom, how can she be trustworthy as a parent? It's a slippery slope and once you start sliding and turning a blind eye, next thing you know you're down the hill. Doing adult work *should* be heavily considered first, no doubt. But for someone to use it as a reason to take your job, your kids, etc away, is wrong, assuming that is the ONLY excuse used. It's no different that someone saying YOU aren't fit to parent because you "sell porn and exploit women".
Seriously, she made a decision long ago that affects those students, well, not at all until someone pointed the finger at her. I personally blame that person more than the school board. Nothing like being a shit-stirrer for no reason.
I am continually shocked at how some of the men in this business view and treat the women in this business. They are perpetuating the "pornographers are bad people" myth with their chauvenistic and archaic lack of respect for ladies who make the content they sell. There is no difference between peddling your own ass or someone else's, fellas, except a lot of false pride. When you treat women in this industry as equals, you are disproving the school of thought that says girls in adult are manipulated, humiliated, disrespected, etc etc, into what they are doing. It is very possible to be a strong woman with strong values who enjoys her sexuality and chooses to build a career around something she enjoys. All of us should show some support even if she doesn't wanna be associated. Everyone in the country should. Reason being just like people who were former criminals, they did something in the past and regret it. She didn't commit a crime and is being treated like she did. I'm sure there are many former or present adult actors who would like to go mainstream or help their communities and should never have that held against them.
Quite a turning point case in American history I'll tell you.

She needs to take a stand a file a lawsuit. This was a public school making a moral stand based at what are essentially religious beliefs, and that is a basic wrong. If it were a private religious school, I could see releasing her on that basis, but a public school has no right to judge her moral caliber on that level.
BTW, a lot of the college girls that I have shot were in teacher education programs. Also a few pre-law and nursing students...
