It may not last
I put an entry on my high school page as a notable graduate and they deleted it the next day. I wonder who polices that stuff.
I'm sure if it is legit it would have probably lasted. I think I said that I was an internet smut peddler so they probably flag that stuff.

I've had links stay up for months and the minute I put them out of my mind some hater came along and deleted them just replace them with another URL, ha ha.
If you monitor it closely you can go into the edit record and if everything is relevant and on the up and up you can usually reverse the edit that deleted your URL, but it's a pain. I haven't found the traffic from wikipedia to be worth the effort. Just my 2 cents.

I had links on Wikipedia for a long time, traffic was decent. Then some asshole decided to go to war with me. We went back and forth for days, me adding my links and him deleting them. I ended up getting ip banned. He had no reason to delete my links other than being a low life with nothing else to do. having few of my sites listed as external links on wikipedia for high paying generic keywords (pharmaceutical mostly).. Even with wikipedia in the first results, the amount of traffic is negligeable.
People know when clicking on wikipedia's link what they'll get. So very few of them after getting the info they want (because wikipedia is quite a complete resource) pursues their learnings by going to an external source of info.

I messed with Wiki a while back...
Did a nice info page with links to articles about PK.com and information about books and newspaper write ups.
Was fine until some hater decided "It was of no significant or notable value". Glad my bank accounts don't reflect that statement.
