I've often wondered why spammers bother to hack / email WEBMASTERS trying to sell them shit. Not only does it give them hell on the boards it creates competition for the sites they promote.

Very true.

It almost makes me chuckle. People in the adult industry for the most part are ahead of the curve I would think. So we see a lot of the spam, and shams of the web before a lot of the public.

But yet people continue to send us spam in Russian, 10 Chase, E-Bay & Paypal security, Africa riches, lottery, Albania models, amung other e-mails a day.

I don't think even a regular AOL surfer would fall for the e-mail once, much less 10 times every day.

I was getting probably 50 a day pushing LionsDollars, PerfectGonzo and TrafficGigolo sites and I reported them when it got too much - never heard anything back and I see the spammer(s) are still at it.

Note to program owners: Make it easy for webmasters to report spam or at least respond. Doesn't look good on you when you just ignore ... and you all know what happened to a few companies that didn't stop affiliate spamming, don't you?

For quite some time I had the same problem, I contacted every program associated with the refering URLs one morning. Later that afternoon, I get an ICQ from someone, and it says, "I understand you are getting a bunch of spam, I know the guy doing it, if you will give me your email address I will take care of it." At that point I got the sneaking suspision I wasnt talking with someone that knew who he was but the guy doing it himself. Just the way he talked and kept insisting on getting my email address and basically trying to talk me out of contacting other programs. It was all very strange. I didnt think fast enough to ask the right questions to get me more info, I really wish i had!

Ok thats my spam adventure story for the day... ;)

I have no siggy and I want no siggy.. damn no I have one again!

Spam is indiscriminate by its very nature. The theory is: send out a massive amount, and get a small return.

And, some major site owners are spammers. They try to hide it, but they are.

You know how to get rid of these emails? Don't forward your Epassporte email to another email address. Even though Epassporte has "blocked" external emails, their server still accepts the emails and if you turn on forwarding in your epassporte email account, you'll get all of those spams that the server is supposedly blocking.

I turned on forwarding for payment notification, and within minutes I was receiving hundreds of spam messages an hour until I turned it off.

This same fucker has been at it for months. He moves slowly but surely program to program (currently platinumbucks in some of those links) with always the same things: A drop page with an enter link (used to confirm email being valid) then through a bounce page and on to the sponsor, effectively hiding the traffic sources from the sponsors.

Sponsors should take serious note of any account that shows a sudden and large spike in traffic across many sites at the same time, especially if the source pages are either blank or bounce pages. For all the time that you reps spend sig whoring on the boards, perhaps they could spend some time looking at stats and traffic spikes to make sure your programs aren't paying spammers to make a living.

I put in spam arrest, and this fucker is still sending hundreds per day - but they all get stopped over there.
