X-raid. No one wants war. But everyone would like the terrorists stop. History tells us that taking minor measures against terrorism doesn't help. I don't think a phone call to their mothers will help. Also asking them to stop will not help.

Back in the early 70's the country of Turkey had a widespread problem with terroism. Finally, one of their Generals decided to impose a marshal law. They started to knock on the doors of possible terrorist hideouts. They were shooting them on the spot. Many innocent people were killed. But doing that erraticated terrorism for many years to come.

So what is the difference. If these terrorists were in our county and we started shooting them on the spot. Their may be innocents getting killed. If we start knocking them off in other countries because they entered ours innocents maybe killed, but terroism erraticated would make for a nice headline.

you guys that are screaming were going to kill all these innocent poeople

there are not going to be as many as you think

we are in an era of smart bombs not carpet bombing we are going to launch strikes on specific targets we are not going to just level towns and cities we are going to hit specific things like military bases and single buildings that are known to be used

its not going to be a site like WW2 where they bombed entire cities

we are going to hit the targets we want to hit there may be a few strays or missed targets but its not going to be a lets see how much of the city we can take out type of thing

Look at desert storm they were able to drop bombs down air shafts in the top of the buildings from 15000 feet these weapons are precise there on target and they get the job done without blowing the whole city up

Lets go get these bastards and show these oppressed countries what the life is!

Well, I believe the plan is to go after ONLY those responsible. We have given the countries harbouring these people a warning & if they do NOT abide by what our demands are...THEN they will have to deal w/ a force like they have never experienced! The American people demand that something be done about this, & I have complete faith that a bad ass country like the U.S.A. will do everything to let the world know that we are NOT a force to be reckoned with or to be taken lightly! I've only heard the word nuke mentioned by people on this board and one woman who called into one of the News talk shows... the anchor person put them in their place pretty quick.

I'm sure most of us are very angry but I think we all know better than to start nuking people.
